Sometimes we become so intensely absorbed in a sewing project that we don't notice that we are hungry, or perhaps it's past midnight and we don't feel tired.

 

Sewing can be a kind of meditation, where we can relax, stop the clock and transcend time for a while.

 

I stayed up all night making these little pincushions - I especially enjoyed picking out and attaching all the buttons. They would make a great gift idea for someone you love.
